An April Day
When the warm sun, that brings
Seed-time and harvest, has returned again,
‘T is sweet to visit the still wood, where springs
The first flower of the plain.

I love the season well,
When forest glades are teeming with bright forms,
Nor dark and many-folded clouds foretell
The coming-on of storms.
আমি সময়টি ভালই পছন্দ করি

যখন বনাঞ্চলের ঘাসের জামিগুলি পরিপূর্ণ উজ্জ্বল বিন্যাসে 
,
না অন্ধকার এবং বহু ভাঁজযুক্ত মেঘরা পূর্বাভাস দেয়
ঝড়ের আগমনের 
।
From the earth’s loosened mould
The sapling draws its sustenance, and thrives
Though stricken to the heart with winter’s cold;
The drooping tree revives.
পৃথিবীর আলগা নরম উর্বরা জমি থেকে
চারা তার ভরণপোষণ আঁকায় এবং উন্নত হয় পুষ্টিরস টেনে নেয় এবং সতেজ হইয়া ওঠে 
যদিও শীতের ঠান্ডায় বুকে পেয়েও 
;
নুইয়ে পড়া গাছটিও নতুন ভাবে জেগে ওঠে 
।
The softly-warbled song
Comes from the pleasant woods, and coloured wings
Glance quick in the bright sun, that moves along
The forest openings.
স্নিগ্ধ-জয়ধ্বনি যুক্ত গান 
আসে মনোরম বন থেকে এবং রঙিন ডানাগুলি 
তাড়াতাড়ি এক ঝলক দেখা যায় উজ্জ্বল রোদে 
, যা এগিয়ে চলে
বনের খোলা যায়গা গুলি দিয়ে।
When the bright sunset fills
The silver woods with light, the green slope throws
Its shadows in the hollows of the hill,
And wide the upland glows.
যখন উজ্জ্বল সূর্যাস্ত পূর্ণ করে 
রূপালী বনকে আলোয়, সবুজ ঢালে নিক্ষেপ করে
এর ছায়া পাহাড়ের ছোটো উপত্যকা গুলির উপর
