The Lucky Merchant

A merchant was returning home through a dense forest with a bag full of money. Suddenly, it started raining heavily, soaking him completely. He cursed the rain for making his journey difficult. Just then, a robber appeared, pointed a gun at him, and pulled the trigger. To the merchant’s surprise, the gun didn’t fire—the gunpowder had gotten wet due to the rain! Realizing he was saved, the merchant thanked God for the rain and quickly escaped.

একজন ব্যবসায়ী তার টাকা ভর্তি ব্যাগ নিয়ে ঘন জঙ্গলের মধ্য দিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন। হঠাৎ প্রবল বৃষ্টি শুরু হলো, এবং তিনি পুরো ভিজে গেলেন। তিনি বৃষ্টিকে অভিশাপ দিলেন, কারণ এটি তার যাত্রাকে কঠিন করে তুলেছিল। ঠিক তখনই, এক ডাকাত এসে বন্দুক তাক করল এবং গুলি চালাল। কিন্তু বিস্ময়ের বিষয়, গুলি ছোড়া গেল না—বৃষ্টিতে বন্দুকের গান পাউডার ভিজে গিয়েছিল! বুঝতে পেরে যে তিনি বেঁচে গেছেন, ব্যবসায়ী ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ জানালেন এবং দ্রুত পালিয়ে গেলেন।

Last spring, I visited a stunning flower garden located on the outskirts of my city. The garden was filled with vibrant roses, marigolds, lilies, and sunflowers, spreading their sweet fragrance. Butterflies fluttered around, adding to the charm. The fresh air and colorful sights filled my heart with joy and peace. Sitting on a bench, I admired nature’s beauty, capturing the moment in my mind forever. That serene experience will always remain a cherished memory.

গত বসন্তে, আমি আমার শহরের উপকণ্ঠে অবস্থিত একটি সুন্দর ফুলের বাগান পরিদর্শন করি। বাগানটি লাল গোলাপ, গাঁদা, শাপলা এবং সূর্যমুখী ফুলে ভরা ছিল, যা সুগন্ধ ছড়াচ্ছিল। প্রজাপতিগুলো চারদিকে উড়ছিল, যা দৃশ্যটিকে আরও মোহনীয় করে তুলেছিল। সতেজ বাতাস ও রঙিন দৃশ্য আমার মনকে আনন্দ ও প্রশান্তিতে ভরিয়ে দিল। একটি বেঞ্চে বসে প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করলাম এবং সেই মুহূর্তটি আমার মনে গেঁথে রইল। সেই শান্তিময় অভিজ্ঞতা আমার স্মৃতিতে চিরকাল অমলিন থাকবে।
